Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are not required, but they are the best way to guarantee a table. Our 10-table dining room can fill up quickly.
Our hours may occasionally change for private events or other restaurant needs, so please check availability on Resy before stopping by.
What is the restaurant like? What should I wear?
Maple Ave is a very small, simply appointed restaurant—just 10 tables and 26 seats, with a dining room of roughly 200 square feet. Our largest table seats five, and our tables cannot be pushed together during service. We keep the surroundings uncomplicated so we can focus on what matters most to us: warm, personal service and carefully prepared food.
We don’t have a dress code. We’re a relaxed, casual restaurant, so please come as you are.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies?
With one cook, one server, and everything made from scratch in-house, we are very experienced at accommodating dietary restrictions and creating thoughtful alternatives. We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs. Because our menu is seasonal and changes frequently, please let us know about dietary restrictions when making your reservation so we can plan accordingly. For vegan guests, please let us know how many guests need the plant-based menu.
For multiple dietary restrictions or more involved accommodations, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice. For severe allergies or highly restrictive diets—including celiac disease, alpha-gal, tannins, soy protein, and similar concerns—please give us one week’s notice.
We can often accommodate all dietary needs on the spot, but with sufficient advance notice, we can do much more—including preparing a full alternative prix-fixe menu specifically for your diet.
Do you accommodate larger parties?
Our largest table seats five. Depending on the night, we may be able to accommodate parties larger than five without a full restaurant buyout, particularly on slower Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday evenings or for early dinners between 5 and 6 PM.
These arrangements are subject to availability and generally have a two-hour time limit. Please call us is you don’t see availability for a group of 5+.
For larger celebrations — private events and restaurant buyouts are also available.
Are you a good restaurant for dinner before a show?
Yes. We’re a convenient dinner option for guests attending performances at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, Capital One Hall in Tysons and Jammin Java here in Vienna.
Our seasonal prix-fixe dinner makes it easy to plan an evening around a reservation. If you’re attending a performance, we recommend allowing enough time for a relaxed meal and travel to the venue. Just let us know when you’d prefer to head out.
We’re also an option for guests heading into Washington, DC for an evening at the Kennedy Center, or Capital One Arena, particularly if you’re coming from the Vienna or Tysons area.
Where do I park?
We have a small on-site parking lot.
Free, 2 hour street parking is also available on Church Street behind the restaurant, parallel to Maple Avenue / Chain Bridge Road.
There is also a public parking lot across the street, behind the Vienna Shopping Center.
Is Maple Ave wheelchair accessible?
Our historic building and bathroom were grandfathered in under accessibility requirements. Our front entrance has a single step up and our bathroom is not wheelchair accessible.
However, we are more than happy to welcome guests in wheelchairs or walkers and can arrange additional table space to make you more comfortable. Please call us so we can make arrangements.
Do you have outdoor seating?
No, we do not offer outdoor seating.
Do you accommodate children?
We welcome children. We have high chairs but do not offer booster seats or a separate children’s menu. We’ll always have something for them to eat.
Please include children and infants in your reservation’s guest count.
Do you offer takeout or catering?
We offer a la carte takeout for brunch and dinner.
For large takeout orders or catering requests, please contact Chef Justė in advance through our Private Events Page. We’ll do our best to accommodate special requests depending on our schedule and capacity.
Can I bring my own wine or a cake?
Yes! Our corkage fee is $22 per 750 ml bottle.
A sweet ending is included with our dinner prix-fixe menu, but you’re also welcome to bring a cake for a special occasion. We’ll happily cut and serve it at no additional charge. The same applies to brunch.
Do you add service fees?
We do not add extra fees to the bill. For parties of six or more, a 22% automatic service charge applies. Please treat this as a tip, as do we.
