Missed us? Join Chef Justė for a virtual Lithuanian cooking class on June 30th at 7 pm! Proceeds benefit a good cause! Ricardo will not appear on camera, but he is the beautiful (long haired) assistant behind the scenes. As an added bonus you’ll get to see Chef in a full blown, authentic Lithuanian national costume! During the class Chef will demonstrate all the menu elements, answer any questions about the food and quirky culture of Lithuania and share her tips and tricks on cooking Lithuanian foods. For another element of fun – in addition to the ticket, consider donating $5 for a chance to win a basket of Lithuanian ingredients, chosen by the Chef! Each $5 donation will give you one entry to win $100 worth of food staples. The Lithuanian basket includes beers (!), honey, pickles (of course), dried mushrooms, pearled barley, and much more.

One class is $35, five for $140. These series of classes by the philanthropic organization are designed to show off distinctive international cuisines (Lithuania, Philippines, Iran, Israel and Greece) by celebrated chefs, cooking instructors and cookbook authors. All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit ThriveDC meal and re-entry program that meets the needs of vulnerable women in the District of Columbia, as well as Les Dames DC’s grants and scholarships programs for women in the culinary arts. Tickets and more information..
